Well, hello there beautiful! This home is nearly ready for move-in. Just a few finishing touches and some lucky homeowners will get to enjoy the spacious kitchen, luxurious master bath and lovely front porch views. Building this house has been more rewarding (and more stressful) than we ever imagined. Happy to see things coming together so beautifully in the end.

This home is nearly complete and we couldn’t be more excited! Today appliances and carpet went in. Now there are just a few details and touch-ups before this new home will be ready for move-in!

Be still my heart! The quartz countertops have been installed and they look amazing! The huge island is really the heart of this home. Perfect for entertaining or as the central hub for a busy family! The dark quartz countertops in the master bath are stunning against the white cabinets and marble-look tile. The shower tile is underway as well and looks gorgeous already!

I feel like I say this every week, but the house is REALLY coming together beautifully! The exterior finishes are nearly completed and I couldn’t be happier with the way the stucco color turned out! Inside the cabinets look gorgeous. There is so much storage in the kitchen between the large pantry, the many cabinets, and the huge island. The quartz countertops have been measured and will be installed first thing next week.

This week is all about flooring and we are loving the progress! Laminate wood throughout most of the main floor with both warm and cool tones, gorgeous marble-look tile in the master bathroom, cool modern grey tile in the other bathrooms, and a fun wood-look vinyl in the upstairs laundry room.

Drywall is done!!! It’s really starting to look like a home now. We are especially loving the grand entryway, big windows and the master suite with vaulted ceilings and HUGE shower.

Drywall is being installed and it looks glorious! The Drywall Co. is doing a beautiful job. We sanded the exposed beam down and finished it with a dark iron. It looks great now and we can’t wait to see it with all the other finishes.

Today was a big day at the house! Basement windows were installed, plumbing rough is complete, HVAC rough is underway and roofing started as well!

Framing is finished!!! The home is completely framed and it couldn’t look better. The bedrooms are spacious, the huge windows make everything feel open and the views are on point. Our awesome trade partners will be putting in the “guts” over the next couple of weeks, starting with plumbing rough tomorrow. We can’t wait!

Framing is officially underway. What a great Christmas present! This home is going to be gorgeous. Plus check out the amazing park about 100 yards from the front door. It’s perfect for playing in the summer or sledding in the winter!

We had a few days of excellent weather and kept the slabs bundled up during the snowstorm on Friday. They look great now that the blankets have been cleared! Framing starts in just a couple of days. We couldn’t be more excited to see this new home take shape!

Dustin and the guys from Brown Brothers did a fantastic job today! The weather cooperated and the concrete slabs look beautiful! The views from this new home in Lehi are going to be breathtaking.

The foundation forms were up to 11′ tall in some places to allow for the 9′ basement and a secure foundation. It was down to the wire to get these forms up and inspected in time to pour before Thanksgiving break. Luckily the weather cooperated beautifully.

Nacho and his crew from Lazalde worked hard to get the footings and foundation in during a break in the snowy weather. The forms were stepped because of the walkout basement. Lots of extra work, but it’s definitely worth having a bright, open basement instead of a dark dungeon!

As the owners of WoodCastle Homes, Mike and I are excited to be building this beautiful new home in Traverse Mountain. The views from the lot are gorgeous and the walkout basement is going to be fabulous! Here we are doing a little hands-on work to prep for excavation.
